The fast-moving consumer goods market has started to grow again in Italy. In the first seven months of 2015 there was a two per cent increase in sales.
The Italian retail distribution network counts for more than 68 thousand stores, from large retailers and hypermarkets to small traditional shops.
According to a study conducted by IRI the consumer goods market in Italy posted a turnover of €65 billion in 2014; in the first seven months of 2015 it has already exceeded €38 billion (up €750m from the same period last year).
IRI conducted the study on behalf of “Marca 2016”, the international private label retail distribution fair, organised by BolognaFiere in partnership with ADM.. The fair, the second largest in Europe, will take place on 13 and 14 January 2016 in Bologna (Northern Italy).
