Bonfiglioli Group is an Italian Company which operates in the power transmission market sector. On May 6 2015, Bonfiglioli opened a new logistics and production plant in Qingpu Industrial Park, Shanghai, as part of its business strategy to strengthen its position in the Chinese market. The new plant employs 200 people and is set over an area of 30,000 m2.

Established in 1956, the Group today has sales revenues of over €700m and it has more than 3000 employees worldwide.

Bonfiglioli develops specific products and solutions for a wide range of market sectors from industrial (mechatronics and power transmission) to mobile (i.e. applications for construction, agricultural and earth moving machinery). The company also operates in the green energy sector (photovoltaic, wind, biomass, etc.).

BDS (Bonfiglioli Drives Shanghai Co., Ltd.) was established in 2003. Today, BDS mainly produces and assembles products for the light industry (packaging and labelling), heavy industry, agricultural machinery, marine engineering and for the renewable energy sector.
