The Collalto winery has recently opened the “Collalto Store”, a stylish wine shop in the hamlet of Susegana, in the Veneto region (home of sparkling wine Prosecco), offering visitors a perfect setting to immerse themselves in the history and spirit of Collalto wines.
Origins of this winery date back to the Middle Ages and today it is owned by princess Isabella Collalto de Croÿ, who has been at the helm of the winery since 2007, it is for this reason that the winery has won the title “Princess of Prosecco”.
Collalto’s wine making dates back to the year 958 and is today among some of the most prominent wine estates in the world-renowned sparkling wine-making area of DOCG Prosecco Conegliano Valdobbiadene Superiore.
The Collalto wine estate spreads over an area of 250 hectares, 150 of which are vineyards, producing about 850,000 bottles a year.
The winery is located in the historic wine-making hamlet of Susegana, dating back to 1904.
The new Collalto Store opened at the end of January 2016, it has two main areas, divided by a decorative wall made with barrel slats, offering visitors the opportunity to choose between the different wines from the Collalto wine collections.
The new wine store offers a view directly on the winery and on its historic concrete wine tanks, making the visit to the shop even more enticing.
