Del Conca Group is one of the most important ceramic tile manufacturers in Italy. In February 2014 Del Conca invested over $50m to build a new 30,000 square metre production plant in Loudon (Tennesse), USA.


Del Conca USA is one of the most modern production plants of tiles in the world. It produces “designed in Italy, made in the USA” tiles. The US production site will also be used as a warehouse to store tiles manufactured in Italy.


In this way Del Conca will be able to offer its customer in the USA “Made in Italy” and “Made in the USA” tiles.


delconcausaThe company was awarded the project for the George Jones Museum in Nashville, dedicated to one of country music’s most hallowed musician, which opened in April of this year.


Manufactured tiles by Del Conca were  used to build the main entry wall of the museum.


A great deal of resources has gone into developing highly efficient production processes whilst reducing the impact to the environment to the minimum.


Two important Italian tile manufacturer brands are part of Del Conca Group: Ceramica Faetano and Ceramiche Dal Conca.


Ceramica Faetano was founded in 1962 in the Republic of San Marino, initially little more than an artisan workshop it has expanded over the years and it has gradually taken on its current position as parent company of the group.


Ceramica del Conca Spa was conceived in 1979 by entrepreneurs with experience in the field of construction, new to the world of tiles, but sensitive to the technological evolution and growing expectations of the market.


It was the first company in the industry to believe in single-fired white body glazed stoneware tiles, just as it was the first to employ porcelain stoneware technology.


According to the company website, Del Conca was the first company in the world to implement the “single-firing” technique for the manufacture of ceramic tiles, adding higher technical performance and greater flexibility of modern manufacturing processes to the finer aesthetic characteristics of traditional double firing.


In 2013, global sales volume of the Del Conca Group was €121m, 75 per cent came from exports and half of total exports went to the USA.
